The Dark Arts Of Baking
The More We Talk
The More We Heal
The Dark Arts Of Baking, and The Blog, are where this all started. Baking is something that I thought could help me deal with my depression. It has been a way for me to learn the self confidence that I didn’t have. In a few minutes or hours I can find out if something works. That’s pretty quick feedback. The Blog is a way to share our stories on trauma, loss, grief, success, and setbacks. We want people to understand that they aren’t alone. We believe that talking is a great way to start towards healing, but not the only way. We know it’s not easy to talk, so we’re trying to start the conversations.

A Batch of Cookies
It Starts With A
Batch Of Cookies
We believe that we can all grow, talk, heal, and gain confidence by baking a batch of cookies. Whether you’re baking with others or alone, it encourages confidence, it helps facilitate a creative outlet, but most of all it creates a vulnerable space to be present and talk.
Grab a bag of your favorite chocolate chips, friends, strangers, or family and start the oven. There’s lots of time to share stories of your fondest cookie memories or even share a vulnerable experience, all while navigating the basics of baking. Whether it’s your first time, or hundredth time baking cookies, don’t forget to stop and take a minute to taste test your process!
Our desire is for all of us to take the time to be vulnerable enough to talk and hold space with one another so we all may grow and heal together. We want to do all of this while creating and enjoying fresh baked cookies.
Let this be the start or continuation of your journey.
We see you. We hear you. We stand with you.
The more we talk
The more we heal.
