Cinnamon Toast Crunch Blondies
This is all still really new to me. I’m no master of SEO by any means. In fact I’m pretty confused as to how it works with Squarespace. In an effort to try and see what people wanted I look at the search terms on google for the site. Cinnamon Toast Crunch Blondies was on that list. I honestly never would have thought about it. Well why not give the people what they want.
I tweaked the normal blondie recipe and instead of using the normal amount of brown sugar I reduced it and did a cinnamon sugar combo. I figured this would be a good way to add that Cinnamon Toast Crunch goodness, but not making them overly sweet. As an added bonus I put some Cinnamon Toast Crunch inside and on top. A quick note: If you aren’t going to gobble these down in a day or two, and you might, then I would consider leaving the Cinnamon Toast Crunch out of the batter. It works well on top as it stays crisp from the oven, but if it’s baked in then it can get a bit wonky texture-wise since it is a cereal. It won’t easily hold its texture for an extended time frame when in the batter. What I will say is that it’s super good with that extra texture while it’s still crisp.
I’d planned on trying this recipe again and toasting the Cinnamon Toast Crunch a bit before it went into the batter, but life got in the way. It’s also what there’s such a delay in getting this recipe out the door. This is right around the time my mom took her final turn. Enough of the sadness though, I’m still avoiding it, run out and make these.
Ingredients
1 Cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 Cups dark brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 Cups All Purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 Cup Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350
Melt the butter
Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and cinnamon to the melted butter and whisk until combined and the sugars are dissolved
Add the eggs and vanilla and whisk until combined
In a separate bowl combine the flour, salt, and baking powder. Mix together for best results
Slowly fold in the dry ingredients to the wet
Once the batter is combined mix in 3/4 of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Line a 9x13 inch pan with parchment. Let some hang over the sides as this will make the blondies easier to remove from the pan
Spread the batter evenly in the pan
Top with the rest of the Cinnamon Toast Crunch
Bake in the 350 degree oven for 35 - 40 minutes. To check if they are done insert a toothpick in the center. It should come out clean
